Dr. Claudia Chiriboga is a world-renowned Pediatric Neurologist and a Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. With over 40 years of experience, she is a leading expert in spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) clinical research, having contributed to groundbreaking first-in-human antisense oligonucleotide studies. Dr. Chiriboga serves as the Director of the Pediatric MDA Care Center at Columbia and is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She earned her medical degree with honors from the University of Buenos Aires and holds a Master’s in Public Health from Columbia University.
