Description
Dr. Roxana Mehran is an internationally acclaimed interventional cardiologist and Director of Interventional Cardiovascular Research and Clinical Trials at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. As of February 2026, she serves as President-elect of the American College of Cardiology (ACC), assuming the presidency in March 2026, and is Chief Scientific Officer of the Clinical Trials Center at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF). A prolific researcher with over 2,000 peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Mehran’s work on bleeding risk scores and antiplatelet therapy has shaped global clinical guidelines. She is also a leading advocate for health equity, founding Women as One, and has been honored with the 2025 ESC Gold Medal and the AHA Laennec Master Clinician Award.
