Description
Dr. Anthony John Aldave is a board-certified ophthalmologist and Co-Chief of the Cornea and Uveitis Division at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute. He holds the Bartly J. Mondino, M.D., Endowed Chair in Ophthalmology and directs the Cornea and Refractive Surgery Fellowship Program. A globally recognized authority on artificial corneal transplantation, Dr. Aldave has performed over 250 Boston keratoprosthesis procedures. Beyond his clinical expertise, he leads the Corneal Genetics Laboratory, advancing gene-based therapies for inherited corneal disorders. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch and completed his residency at Wills Eye Hospital.
